I’ve had a lifetime of beautiful dogs of various breeds and temperaments – from rescue dogs to specific breeds and I have loved them all. Their lifespan is relatively short – between 10-15yrs. Vets bills and medication can cost a fortune so a healthy lifestyle benefits both the dog and the owner. When I bought a new puppy home two years ago I got advice from the breeder on what foods she had been giving him. It led me to research the best types of foods for puppies and dogs. After a vet’s consultation with my new puppy and his invaluable advice from having been in the industry over many years I made the decision to make homemade healthy meals and treats in my own kitchen. I decided on a ‘blended diet’ including a variety of both cooked and raw foods.
